There is a place I long to return to, a place I seek each day, waiting patiently for my return.
It is not far, not distant, nor unreachable. The path is clear now, no longer hidden in the underbrush. It wasn’t always this way. Once, this place was obscured by darkness, overgrown with tangled vines and branches that blocked the way, narrowing the path until it nearly disappeared.
In the quiet moments before sunset, we meet. In this stillness, I know that this place is safe, a sanctuary of peace. It is a place where I can sit quietly, awake but at rest.
Here, stillness fills my being, and silence feels like an old friend—one that has been with me long before I understood its presence. This place is ancient, wild, and free—a space now clear and spacious, where the treetops stretch high, their branches reaching out to embrace me.
I enter like a butterfly, her wings fluttering delicately in the breeze, resting on a rose petal, knowing she has found her home. It is here, in the heart of the forest, where the ocean’s vastness and the mountains rise like sentinels. The birds sing, and the horses gallop freely.
I do not sit alone. I am surrounded by love, by those who loved me and still watch over me, their presence felt in the rustling of leaves and the whispers carried in the wind. "I love you," they breathe, their love tender, as if it has never left.
In this sacred space, I sit side by side with them, as if in a dream. In their eyes, I see the place I have always longed for—a place of deep peace, where the past, present, and future coexist harmoniously, and where love, both remembered and present, is as tangible as breath.
It is easier now to find this place. My heart is my compass, and it knows the way. For years, I searched outside myself to fill the void, to satisfy the longing. But now, I know. This place was never lost; it was waiting for me to remember.
I return, not seeking change, but simply being, breathing, lingering. It is a place of stillness, where the trees know my name, and the ocean whispers its secrets. It is a place I call home, a place I never truly lost, though once I thought it beyond reach. The forest, the ocean, the sky, they are reflections of my own heart, and in their vastness, I see the vastness of my soul.
Now, when I close my eyes, I feel the warmth of this space radiating from within. It is always here in the pause between breaths, in the quiet moments between thoughts. It is a place where I sit after the exhale, touching the vast silence of my soul.
This is the place I want to return to. And with each passing day, I remember: I have never truly left.
