As spring blooms, we’re reminded of renewal and the space grief resides within us. Yesterday, I had the honor of leading a free-writing workshop at Higher Ground in Moraga, where we explored hope. It was inspiring to see how writing allows us to be brave, vulnerable, and move our emotions, creating space for new beginnings. The connection and shared presence in the room were truly special.
With that same spirit, I invite you to join my 4-week grief writing series, where we’ll explore grief, loss, and transformation—honoring the past while making space for renewal.
The Theme: Grief and Spring—From Seed to Bloom
We begin in the tender, raw spaces of your heart, just like spring’s quiet soil giving way to new blooms. Grief is not something to fix but to grow from, like a seed breaking through earth. In this sacred space, we’ll explore grief as a natural, transformative guide.
The Power of Writing Through Grief
Writing offers a sacred way to voice the grief we carry. It transforms sorrow into wisdom, creating space for healing and growth. This practice helps us process grief, not as a burden, but as an essential part of the journey. Through writing, you will open a dialogue with your grief, moving toward understanding and acceptance.
What You’ll Experience:
Weekly Writing Sessions: Together, we’ll dive into themes of grief, loss, transition, renewal, and transformation, using guided writing prompts to foster healing and self-discovery.
Community Sharing: Sharing our stories within a trusted group creates connection and support as we witness each other’s grief.
Ritual & Connection: Writing becomes a ritual of healing, a way to reconnect with ourselves and honor our emotional landscapes. We’ll create a safe, compassionate space for your grief, offering not just writing prompts, but the opportunity for profound emotional release and healing.

This series is for any woman navigating grief—whether recent, longstanding, or from personal transition. This can include the death of a loved one, the end of a relationship, a job loss, or any significant life change.
